I was pleasantly surprised when I reached home at around sunset today! We had guests.
But to my astonishment they were breaking the fast! Being the followers of Ayatullah Sistani it was their 30th day of the holy month of Ramadhan. And their parents are the muqallideen of Ayatullah Khoei (after rujoo') and so were celebrating their Eid :) I myself have had meal after meal since morning!
Though the rules are quite clear and I dont see an issue with some people in the house fasting and others celebrating Eid... if that is the right thing to do then it should be done!
But somehow it sort of feels quite awkward, it feels a little out of line! Specially since Eid is a social event and an important part of it is to meet others!
May be the question to ask is : Would we still have Eid on different days if the Imam AJTF was here? Of course not, then may be it is important to find a way to have a united Eid even now. But this is quite immature - does not look like it will happen around now.
Celebrating the joys of the Breaking of the Fast,

Barzakh's connection to this world!
Barzakh! Heard of it but I have never tried to put it into words before!
I see it as a world in between, here and the hereafter. A world with its own set of principles - even Stephen Covey would need some getting used to these - very different from what we are used to. But for some reason I am confident that there are principles that govern that place too... so what works for one will work for another, only if he knows how to make it.
Some of the ulema believe that these worlds are running in parallel - so the barzakhi world is actually operational now and is affecting this world too!!! There are some ways of connecting to this world and since that world also works on principles then these connections should work everytime as long as we understand them correctly!
Hmmmmmmm.... that could be quite interesting!
Imagine with principles in place we are saying that we can actually conduct experiments (things that can be repeated in a lab setting)... if even a fraction of all this can be proven in an academic setting it could lead to a scientific revolution of its own - probably give way to a whole new science in its own.
I probably need to research a little more about metaphysics to understand what is happening in that arena ! I remember having watched a part of the this documentary: What the BLEEP Do We Know . It is followed by quite a few sequels like Down the Rabbit Hole. You can read more about these on Wikipedia. But I never followed up with that part of the world to understand it any better.
Anyone has any ideas / updates or comments?

Pencil to Keyboard...Introduction
As a teenager I was quiet a confused child!
As if my mind would work overtime, often going in circles with little gain. And then once in a while there would be a time that I would feel as if I have been gifted with a thought, an odd thought that did not really belong in my mind at all, but it popped out of no where.
I used to put this down with my diary as a separate note.
Now over 15 yrs later I am considering the possibility of posting some of the old ones and anything I am blessed with here. It would be nice to see if you find some of these as odd as I did.
